Title: Wife with BPD,
Post by: Jj1234 on December 06, 2018, 10:32:34 PM
My wife has BPD, bi polar, addict.
We both see counselors and they are pushing us to separate for 6 months to work on ourselves.
She gets suicidal and I am co dependent
We have 2 kids together and have been married 13 years
Affairs on her end are biggest factor
And she accuses me of affairs.

Hi Jj1234 and welcome!

Thanks for sharing about your situation. My suggestion is to start posting on other threads to gain context and start meeting the members here.

How old are your kids? What do you think about the trial separation option and how will the kids figure in? I have two kids as well and our counselor just put me and my wife on the same track this week.

Sending you strength,
RolandOfEld

Hi Jj1234,

Let me join RolandofEld in welcoming you to the boards.  :hi:

How do you feel about your therapists' suggestion of a temporary separation? And do you know how your wife feels about it? Is it something the two of you want to consider?

Whether you go down this route or not, you will find support and advice here from people who face similar relationship challenges and understand how hard it can be.
