Title: Post breakup anguish
Post by: fmbike2 on December 31, 2018, 09:25:46 PM
It’s been a little more than three months since I left and I’m still missing the girl that I fell in love with.

Does anyone know if a good book that I could read to help me heal from this? There are days where I ask God just to take me because I am a wreck.

Thanks.

Hi, fmbike2. Welcome to bpdfamily.  :hi: I’d recommend “Radical Acceptance” by Tara Brach. I’m sorry that you’re having these feelings. Can you tell us a little more about what has happened and why you’re feeling down?

Hello and Welcome. How to survive the loss of a love by McWilliams Bloomfeild and Colgrove. Its a really easy little read and the first thing my therapist gave me post break up. I found it helped a lot. I am sorry you are enduring this trauma. All I can tell you is that it does get better with time. Keep putting one foot in front of the other. Post an d read here. You will survive this. Sending hugs.

hi fmbike2 and *welcome*

its hard losing someone you love... .it can be especially hard around the holidays. im glad you reached out.

The Journey From Abandonment to Healing really helped me better understand what i was going through, as well as a good road map for how i could heal. we have a review of it here: https://bpdfamily.com/book-reviews/journey-from-abandonment-to-healing

nothing helped me more than having a strong support system and being able to talk it out, though. what led you to make the difficult decision to leave?
