Title: Law firm has put a lien on the marital home Post by: toomanydogs on January 08, 2019, 08:48:47 AM God, I feel like I've fallen down the rabbit hole. None of this divorce makes sense.
I found out yesterday that not only has my L not been getting paid, but the law firm representing trustee hasn't gotten paid either. As a result, second law firm has put a lien on the marital home, which is owned by my STBX's trust. My god, this makes no sense. I've been told by my L that trust wants to sell the marital home, which cannot happen until the divorce settles. My son thinks maybe trust is washing its hands of the divorce proceedings, but if that's the case why not pay the law firm, and say good-bye. This is not a question of sufficient resources, so it's something else, but man I'm at a loss to figure it out. Like I wrote at the beginning, I feel like I've fallen down the rabbit hole. Curiouser and curiouser. |
