Title: New to BPD Family
Post by: Anewday1 on January 09, 2019, 07:02:13 PM
Hi there, I believe my son has BPD. After 10 years of feeling like I have been raked over the coals, I am finally looking at my part in my relationship with him and am seeking empowerment and courage to set healthier boundaries for both our sake. Hoping someone else out there can relate.

Hi and welcome!  You are in the right place when it comes to finding people who can relate    Even better though, we can support and encourage you as you work on your goals.

Can you tell us a bit more about your situation?  How old is your son?  Is he diagnosed (he does not  have to be, a lot of our members have loved ones without a diagnosis)?

What have you tried when he is acting out?  Can you describe a common situation that has been problematic?

Sorry for all the questions.  I am just trying to get an idea of your situation so we can better help you.

Again, I am glad you found us and reached out for support.

I join Harri in welcoming you to BPD Family, Anewday1  :hi:

I love the name you've chosen for yourself here. Yes, it is a new day

As Harri said, you've found a whole community of people who can relate. Though our stories are all different, there are many similarities, you are not alone.

I look forward to getting to know you and how we can best support you.

Take good care,

~ OH
