Title: Has anyone registered for a child support recalculation program? Post by: Mutt on February 05, 2019, 08:11:18 PM Has anybody registered for a child support recalculation program?
I’m asking from the perspective of the payor because maintenance hold you to a barrel of a gun for payors and they can be above the law. Maintenance can recalculate on your anniversary date every year instead of having to hire lawyers and go to court. The program has been in my Province since mid to late 00’s. What I worry about is if exuBPDw stops working and then they recalculate, I’m wondering if the program can be abusive to the payor? The reason why I’m contemplating this is because it’s been difficult to change child support through court she makes almost as much as I do and she claimed well below poverty line when child support was decided. I calculated roughly the years up until now and I’ve been paying too much. This way if I go through this program she’s automatically a part of it and she can’t get out of it - no more evading. Post by: ForeverDad on February 06, 2019, 02:48:50 AM Can you request that her calcs be based on what she could make if employed, that is, imputed income? That way if she under reports or becomes unemployed, that should limit the damage. If she states an amount you know is too low, you could ask that both of you provide wage statements, even the prior year's tax filing, to the program.
