Title: Help Needed - BPD ex girlfriend abruptly left
Post by: CF8945 on February 13, 2019, 10:13:17 AM
A little back info: my ex girlfriend and I were together for just under 1 year, we started dating in February 2018 and it was by far the most intense, passionate relationship I’ve ever experienced. A few months into our relationship, she mentioned to me that she has BPD. Initially I just shrugged it off at it was nothing, however I believe that was the mistake I shouldn’t have made. Whenever she would show symptoms, I’d react emotionally distant and would rarely comfort her as I never understood why she was like this. It wasn’t only after the relationship had ended that I researched heavily into BPD and realised more of what’s she was/is dealing with.

Fast forward to last week and she ended our relationship, just before it marked 1 year together. She explained that as we were spending far too much time together, we never  gave ourselves times to deal with our own struggles as individuals. She initially said we’d go on a no contact break for a month which i agreed with (I honestly suspected we’d get back together as Shen told me very specifically this wasn’t the end of our relationship and even Set guidelines about no flirting with others, etc) but 5  days into the break she messaged me and said how she’s already made her mind up and broke off the relationship.

Only 2 days after she broke off the relationship, a mutual friend of ours messaged me saying how my ex already flirting with another guy.

I need help amd piece of mind. I seriously want to get back together with her but am clueless about baby steps I should take towards that

I am sorry to hear you are going through this.

Her behavior sound consistent with BPD.

I know the pain and heart ache in your chest.

Hang in there talk to your god.

She might be gone  :-(
