Title: Daughter with BPD
Post by: LadyB on February 13, 2019, 08:52:41 PM
Another suicide attempt.  Out of hospital now-back on meds.
Been off and on for years. I’m angry with the guy who talked her off her meds. I bring her home and she blows off dinner with me to be with him. She’s 40, has 2kids and is going through a divorce. Hate this disease and trying to have compassion.

Hi LadyB and *welcome*

I can really understand being angry, I'm sometimes angry too. This disorder is such a challenge and really takes a toll on everyone.

It's good your daughter is back on meds after her suicide attempt, sounds like she's aware that going off her meds contributed to her struggle. Have I got that right?

I'm glad you've come here looking for support as you try to have compassion for your daughter. You don't have to do this alone - we are all here because we love someone with BPD, we get it.

I'm sure it hurt to have your daughter blow off dinner to be with someone else. How are you coping?

Again, welcome!
