Title: I saw her changing(Split)
Post by: Granite Chief on February 21, 2019, 09:25:15 AM
Have you ever seen your significant other try and fight the split?

I believe she was fighting it for a week and has lost the battle. She split last night.

She started out patient treatment two weeks ago. Since then she is having daily panic attacks.

She is constantly nit picking me and getting my volatile by the day. I am not sure if I can handle this. I am currently the person making her life miserable.  She is currently sleeping on the couch... .If I ask her to come to bed she wont. If I don't ask her she gets mad because I did not ask.

Lose lose situations everywhere.

She was diagnosed with BPD by kaiser... .this is why she started treatment. She has severe abuse from the past and she will be getting into that for the next year.

It goes well sometimes... .Other times she has panic attacks. She is in constant panic at the moment.

a diagnosis can be pretty life altering. scary, too. it may be rough going for her, and for you.

what are you doing to weather the storms?

I am worrying about her .

Not taking care of myself. I feel like I am getting consumed.

are you seeing a therapist yourself?

supporting ourselves is really critical. when a person is going through crisis, and entering therapy, things can get really volatile, and its not uncommon to take it out on those who are closest.

Thank you for talking through this with me.

Yes, I talk to a therapist. I also listen to stop walking on eggshells religiously. Overall things are getting better and I do not react so much.
