Title: Realizations
Post by: heysohokid on February 25, 2019, 10:37:19 AM
Hi everyone,

I have recently discovered that my dad has BPD. Well, more that my therapist realized it and then the lightbulbs and life explanations and reasonings flooded me like a tsunami. I still live at home. I love my dad, but I'm not sure how to keep things healthy while still being at home and while still having a good relationship... .well, attempting to have a good relationship.

hi heysohokid, and *welcome*

i remember my lightbulb moment about BPD! theres a powerful sense of relief that comes with it, and then, as you describe, its kind of like watching a movie (an exceptionally long one) over again through a completely new lens. and then... ."so whats next".

so whats going on between you and your dad right now?

What do you see as unhealthy? Is your mother also in the home?
