Title: Wishful Thinking
Post by: Lake45 on March 31, 2019, 12:44:06 PM
Perhaps it's wishful thinking on my part but how many of your BPD children have ended their relationships/marriage or they just blew up?

The wishful thinking is that my daughter's will end sooner rather than later as it happened far too quickly and is abusive and volatile.

Hi Lake45. I am glad to meet you and sorry for the circumstances. It is very frustrating when our children choose to be in unhealthy relationships. A lot of us here know that pain. Sadly, these relationships often do go poof only to be followed by more unhealthy relationships. The good news is change is possible and help is available. You have come to the right place for support.

Welcome Lake 45,

Sorry to hear about your daughter's unhealthy relationship.

Our DS 18 BPD hasn't really had that many relationships, yet. He has been seeing his current GF for about 7 months. Wondering if it's going so well because they live over 5 hours from each other. However, they do talk a lot on the phone.

Good luck!
