Title: Am I being dense
Post by: Emma Lee on April 04, 2019, 03:44:08 PM
My husband has BPD and has decided he loves me but isn't in love with me. He doesn't sleep with me in the bed even though his back hurts. He says I should visit friends for a couple of days. When I do he constantly texts and when I return he is intimate for just a day. Am I beating a dead horse?

Hi Emma Lee! Welcome! :hi:

Relationships with pwBPD can be confusing and painful -- I call it emotional whiplash. You've found a supportive community here full of people who really do "get it."

I know it can seem utterly hopeless -- I've been there. But things actually can get better. It just takes a lot of work and dedication.

I hope you don't mind if I ask a few questions. How long have you been married? Has he been officially diagnosed and is he now or has he ever been in therapy?
