Title: Response times/BPD personalized clock... Post by: MomSA on June 07, 2019, 09:29:33 AM I just read something very interesting in the book "When Your Daughter Has BPD" about their personalised clock. My daughter, son and husband demand immediate attention in person, on the phone or on WhatsAPP.
My husband does it to everyone in the home, but if I don't jump and respond immediately I am berated. With my kids I can set boundaries on my response times as they are kids and while they will push and grumble, it doesn't affect me. But my husband is big and loud and pushy so its intimidating. Can anyone perhaps give me some phrases to respectfully decline to respond NOW, ON THE DOUBLE, ABSOLUTELY, ALWAYS if I am unable? He normally yells for me across the home or yard and it is unpleasant. Thank you. |
