Title: Residential Treatment Centers for Teens? Post by: StressedOutDaily on June 15, 2019, 10:02:50 PM Our therapists have mentioned that the best thing for our DD16 may be to take her out of her environment and put her into a RTC. Looking for other's experiences, any good RTC's that aren't going to bankrupt us? And how did you pay for it?
We have some $ in retirement funds, but it looks like most of these places will wipe most of our savings out in just a year. DH (he is a wonderful H and father) but at this point wont even consider it, and I understand where he is coming from...we are getting closer to retirement and have saved 30 years... It's heartbreaking - but may be the best thing for her and for us. I looked into our insurance - the only place our insurance may cover is a place called Daytop village in Mendham NJ for mental health and drug addiction... I googled and saw really mixed reviews. |
