Title: Introduction and maybe some advice, support
Post by: Ladysbridge on June 17, 2019, 02:42:39 PM
Hello, I'm new to this space. I suspect that my partner is struggling with BPD. I tend to talk with her well, can calm her down most of the time and I feel she is coping better than she did when I first met her. I really love and care for her. Any advice on self coping would be welcome. I'm a very strong individual and I'm studying psychology out of self interest and to help with coping / talking which has helped enormously. I guess the reason for this post is more of an introduction and maybe some conversation for support and information to improve approaches. I'm ok, I think. Sometimes I'm struggling and worrying though as emotional resources are finite. Thanks for listening and I'm looking forward to engaging on here.

Hi and welcome to the board!  You are in the right place to talk with others who are in a relationship with a BPD loved one.

We offer a lot of strategies and tools that have been very effective in a lot of situations.  Some are aimed at reducing conflict and some are aimed more at self-reflection and coping.

What would you say is your biggest challenge in your relationship?

Again, *welcome*
