Title: New here, kid just diagnosed
Post by: TiredButTrue on June 19, 2019, 07:49:14 PM
Trying to learn how I can help my BPD kid and my ASD kid.  And myself, grandma etc. Been through and still in hell.  Surreal sometimes.

Welcome! You are in the right place. Can you tell more about your BPD child, age, in therapy? Just a little so we can better respond .

Hello TriedButTrue! :hi:

I join Swimmy in welcoming you here.

The best way to help others is to help yourself first, lead the way for your family. Are you a grandma or are you wanting to help your grandma (or your mom?)

Surreal is a great description of how these relationships feel sometimes.

I look forward to getting to know you. As Swimmy says, having more information (as you feel comfortable sharing it) helps us help you

*welcome*

Welcome.

I so understand you! I have 4 ASDs (husband and 3 kids) in various places on the spectrum and my husband and 1 child BPD. So very very hard to keep juggling all the balls...

Let us know how you are doing?

My apologies, I got your name wrong in my post above. It's TiredButTrue and think speaks to your dedication to figuring out a way forward, despite how exhausting it all is. Love it.

Hope to see you back here soon, we want to help
