Hello,I am new. I was drawn to this site by the validating feelings information.  I have been married for 20 years and felt invalidated this whole time.  We are both working to improve, but this is the biggest sticking point for me. I often feel anxious about speaking or bringing up things that may be "controversial." I also feel that I have to find the right mood that he is in to bring things up.  I am definately guilty of catering to him and I need to stop.

sounds like youve been walking on eggshells! we know the feeling.

what sort of things do you feel anxious about bringing up, and what happens when you do?

how is the improvement going? what sorts of things are you both working on?
