Title: Older and wiser? Post by: Wednesdayschild on August 08, 2019, 09:02:20 PM I’m 58 years old and have been with this BP since I was 19. I feel resentful that I stayed this long in such an unhappy relationship. It sometimes feels like I wasted my life on someone who didn’t deserve the love I gave in vain.
Title: Re: Older and wiser? Post by: Witz_End on August 08, 2019, 11:46:31 PM I can understand the feeling, but don't blame yourself too hard. As trite as it may sound, hindsight is 20/20 and we make decisions based on what we see, feel and know at the time. That's all any of us can do.
Whether it was wise to stay or not (and only you can say), I'm sure the fact that you did also says some good things about you, when you think about it. |
