Title: Will be 30th wedding anniversary a week from tomorrow,, also 3 months gone Post by: gadget on August 18, 2019, 04:46:36 PM Hi all.
I so want to tell my wife Happy Anniversary, I love you and I miss you. Not sure if that would help, hurt, or fall on deaf ears? You have to be able to send that message and be ok with getting no responses from her. Can you do that? And I'm sure that is how it will play out. Still wanted to be able to say something more meaningful than just Happy Anniversary

Title: Re: Will be 30th wedding anniversary a week from tomorrow,, also 3 months gone Post by: gadget on August 19, 2019, 03:27:03 AM Yes. We text almost daily. She comes over 3x / week to take care of our special needs son for awhile and watches him when I have therapy, or when I teach my Karate class. Many times I send a "I hope you had a good day today" text just being nice.
We never text about us. We talk about our son, her visits, picking up meds for him, etc. In the beginning I only texted when she texted first. Our therapist said that was good. Then she said to me "no one reaches out to me anymore, not even you". So I usually at least text once a day asking about her day. Sometimes she is chatty. Most times the response is "My day was ok". Many times she doesnt ask about me or my day, but she does sometimes. |
