Title: ONE of Her Rollercoasters Post by: Ducky14 on August 21, 2019, 04:20:15 AM So my mother has BPD and she is constantly back and forth with my father. Does anyone else have experiences like this? It’s frustrating for me because my father is an abusive alcoholic and they truly bring out the worst in each other but can’t seem to ever actually get away from each other. They’ve “been trying to work things out” since they were teenagers and now they’re in their mid forties.

The situation with your parents sounds rather difficult indeed. They both seem to be dealing with certain challenging issues. Do you currently still live with your parents? What are the traits you see in your mother which lead you to believe she has BPD? What do you consider to be her most difficult or challenging behaviors? Your father being an alcoholic and abusive is concerning. In what kinds of way is he abusive? Is he also abusive towards you?
