Title: Daughter hospitalized with possible BPD Post by: Worriedmom99 on August 28, 2019, 04:37:41 PM Hi! First post. My daughter is in a hospital because of her mental illness which I believe is BPD. I would love to hear how others have navigated this road.

Likely and hopefully, she will get assessed accurately or close, observe others who struggle with mood and regulation also, learn more about herself and why it feels like there is a volcano in her soul and how to manage it.
I have been both a parent of a daughter who went inpatient and a patient myself, as I am well managed for bipolar disorder and my daughter has PTSD, OCD, depression, and possibly BPD. I've taught my daughter if she names it and claims it, she can have a lot of control over it because she isn't wasting her problem-solving on denial. Grace and peace to you and your daughter. |
