Title: Pregnant women 10 times more likely to have a child with a PD if stressed.

New research out from Finland, suggests stressful pregnancies encourage children with a PD, see here for details. That doesn't bode well for Brexit Britain. Dentists have reported a surge in fractured teeth due to more teeth grinding.

If The Isles devolve into the walking dead, I have a hideabed in my couch for you HC.

My ex was so worried about her own moods and biological issues affecting our kids that she fixed herself after D7 was born.  She had a severe suicide ideation when 5 months pregnant with her,  Christmas day, 2011. Interestingly, S9 is an Aspie, and D7 is a lot more emotionally resilient, with an attitude we noticed by her first birthday.  She is a tough cookie, not at all scared of the dark as her brother still is.  She also wasn't much of a cried like her brother,  and after a few months slept for at least 4 hour stints unlike her brother who wore us down for a while.

I know I'm telling anecdotes... interesting observations overall though. My bio mom was a drug addict and maybe FAS. I turned out curiously stoic, a trait my mom first observed when I was 3.

Hi Turk thanks for the offer. Stoic at 3, you were a quick learner. Apparently I never smiled until I was 8 and haven’t cried since I was 10,  does count as stoic ? I laugh a lot though to make up for it. Here’s a video of my scary brother "Damian" when he was young.

Hi HappyC!  I was afraid to click on the clip expecting horror of some sort... thanks for the laugh!  I should have know it would be funny coming from you.

Stress and anxiety can cause all sorts of issues as we know.  What a lot of people don't know is that infants can sense stress and anxiety in their environment and especially when it comes to their caretakers.  They can recognize changes in the tone of voices too.  It bothers me when I read people on this site state that the abuse in the home is not directed towards the kids... Fact is, it does not have to be to have an effect.

Thanks for sharing HappyC!
