Title: Heartbroken and furious
Post by: Lola B on October 07, 2019, 01:22:39 PM
I’m both heartbroken and furious. You can’t divorce a child. This vicious, ungrateful person goes from emotionally stabbing me to death to devastating self loathing in 20 seconds. I can’t take another minute. She has effectively banned friends and lovers such that I am living in prison where I can be beaten (metaphorically) whenever the guards are upset. I am a good person and this life of cruelty just gets worse and worse. I don’t mean to intentionally stigmatize this disease but it is exactly like fatal attraction.

That does sound horrible. Are you able to get out of the house at all and put some physical distance between you?

I could have written those words. I have dealt with this for almost 20yrs and shes only 30.

My partner died and she kept me constantly focused on her problems..abused me..slandered me..Everyone who knows her hates me..The few who see the real her tell me though.

I have been Royally dropped. My money ran out, my health failed to the point I had asked for help once.

Goodbye

Hi friends. I am able to separate a bit now and I prepare for her when she is home from university. That keeps me sane, as does a medication to help me control impulsivity I now have from a brain injury.

Venting on here is extremely therapeutic. No one who does not face this day in and day out only utters garbage advice about kicking her out. She is only 19 and incapable of sustaining herself. I deeply resent people who puzzle out loud in my presence “she just has to learn to relax”. Don’t they think she knows that? She is as miserable in her skin as we are together when things are bad.

I pray for a cure or a remedy for all people with BPD and their loved ones. This is significantly worse than cancer.

I am glad you are feeling a little more confident about your daughter's visit. Yes it is a horrible disease. Anytime you need to vent or find a shoulder to cry on we are here.
