Post by: Kmcday on October 12, 2019, 10:08:16 PM
I just finished stop walking on eggshells and I am so relieved.  DD has bipolar but I knew there was more. I'm not crazy

No kmcday
You are not alone
Many of us read eggshells or some similar book and the light came on
Now that you have an idea what your child may be suffering from you are in a much better position to help. So welcome to the group? What is it that concerns you that you want to learn about first?

I am trying to figure out how to deal w my 19yo DD. She was dx w bipolar 2 in 2015, but I knew it wasn't the whole story. I'm pretty sure she has bipolar 2 with  borderline tendencies. I am completely burnt out. My older DD22 went through a major depressive episode from 2013 to 2015 and then we finally dealt with my younger DD. I haven't had a break and I haven't set proper boundaries. I guess I'm looking for sympathy.

OK. I sympathize. I really do. Like everyone here I get it. Coping with BPD and other mental illnesses is totally exhausting. That is why our mantra at bpdfamily is self care first. You seem to be running on empty. Posting here and just letting it all out in this safe space is good self care
.What else are you doing to care for yourself? How about therapy for you and not just your children?
Hugs and sympathy
