Title: Is this going to be a monthly threat to hang over our head?
Post by: DadFromFlorida on October 28, 2019, 05:11:58 PM
The BPD 31 Daughter refuses to use birth control and thought it would be funny to "tease" that she was pregnant. My response: "You better not be f*cking pregnant! You have complete control over that." Response: "I can't use BC, it makes me hormonal, depressed, fat, bloated ..." My response: "I guess you better practice abstinence then." YOU DON'T OWN MY BODY! No, but we would have to deal with the consequences of your stupidity. Yeah, that went well.

The fear!
Sadly if she got a reaction then it may come up again.

Its not just pregnancy.
Its the sti's.

My dtr..29 has herpes and slept with her friend's new regular boyfriend just a few months ago. Shes splitting with the girl so her feelings were not considered.

She didn't tell him he was at risk which horrified me.
She got pregnant. She lost it before she knew she had it. So what about HIV?

Everyone was told about her miscarraige and expected to react emotionally and fawn all over her including me. Well everyone except the friend who's boyfriend it was..Then she goes out on the lash with the girl

A month later she went on a " date" with a Tinder person. Said she had suddenly come down with a serious UTI a day or 2 later..So bad she was incontinent. Too much of a coincidence . I think it was an STI.
Why do I need to know?

Its just all so traumatic and unnecessary.

My mother quizzed me left and right but I always let her think I was as pure as the driven snow until I married. She knew but she didn't need to "know"

Yes, there are so many additive consequences that they don't seem to care about.  A few months ago, she already had an abortion after cheating on the guy she was living with and had to come back home.  So, I don't know how I am supposed to NOT react.  She just started a job, so it could be self-sabotage.

To react is only human.
I remember thinking this has to pass.
Mine went on anti depressants and although she still had BPD she had moments of clarity. The antidepressants are gone along with the
fleeting  clarity.

I do feel for you with the abortion.
Its not a form of contraception.
My dtr literally realised 2 days before losing it and was planning an abortion. Then suddenly its a miscarriage and I am wicked for not mourning her child.

It just makes your head spin
