Hi hsg
Welcome to the group.
It is good to meet you and sad to hear what brings you here. I don't have experience with quiet BPDs. My son rages
But sadly I do have experience with ongoing suicidal ideation. My son often feels suicidal and has made several serious attempts. I keep suicide prevention on speed dial as it is important to take it seriously and do what I can when I can. That said I can't be with him all the time and even if I could that would be no guarantee that he will not suicide if that is what he really wants.

I sense you are in a similar situation, terrified your daughter will kill herself but also knowing there are real limits to what you can do. I wish I had brilliant advice for you but I don't. The best I can say is do what you can and accept the reality that you can't do everything. Meanwhile take care of yourself. Self care is under your control and it is super important for the long road ahead. Coming here is great self care. Are you doing anything else to help you stay centered and strong?

Hi hsg  :hi: :hi:

Along with Faith I welcome you.

My 31DD is a quiet one too and suffered SI, with hospitalisation for self harm 4 years ago. I too know what it's like not wanting to leave them alone. Was that your DD's first hospitalisation, does she have a treatment plan?

I'm glad you found us.
