Title: Asking my first question here
Post by: Next step on November 11, 2019, 03:03:59 AM
Hi
I just realized this last few months that my husband probably has BPD, Right now I don't know whether staying or leaving is going to be best for my children ages from 9 to teens. He's really volatile a lot, but I heard they're a whole lot worse after a divorce. What can you all tell me?

Hi and *welcome*

A lot of our members are here trying to determine the same thing.   You are not alone.  We can help you navigate your relationship as you decide on the direction you want to take.  Some members have been able to improve their relationship and others not, but have made things better for their self.

If you read posts you will be able to see what some have been able to work out in their own relationships, regardless of marriage status.

I moved your thread from the Help desk to the Bettering board as you will get better feedback here.  Also, given the fact that you have kids and are thinking about divorce it would be really good for you to learn some of the tools and strategies we offer here so that things like divorce negotiation and parenting issues go more smoothly.

Can you share a bit more re: the specifics of your situation?  What is your biggest struggle?  When you say he is volatile, what do you mean?

Sorry for all the questions.  Details help so share as you feel able.  :)

Again, welcome.
