Title: Mother seeking advice for empowerment Post by: Grace1111 on November 15, 2019, 09:25:22 PM Hi,
I’m new here and so happy to have found this support group! My daughter was diagnosed with BPD last year at age 18. In the past she was diagnosed with Bipolar, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and dysthymia. I have a younger daughter as well who is 16. I’m a single mom and our life has become quite dysfunctional due to my loss of unemployment along with lack of skills in dealing with my daughter’s illness. It’s been a long road already but I am trying to come to terms with this...so tired and desperately needing some practical advice. You have landed in a safe and supportive place to learn better ways of communicating and coping and to find a group of very compassionate people. Some of us are still in the beginning stages of learning and others are further along but everyone works together here. The good news is that things can get better. |iiii What would you say is you biggest challenge? I hope you share more and settle in and read and jump into other threads. It is important to build a support network as there is no reason to do this alone. Again, *welcome* Title: Re: Mother seeking advice for empowerment Post by: FaithHopeLove on November 16, 2019, 02:05:38 AM Hello Grace
