Title: Understanding BPD
Post by: Lucy@peanuts on November 16, 2019, 07:13:19 AM
Hello there

For the first time today, I heard from a therapist that my child has bpd. Not sure what it is and how it impacts my child and us. The therapist recommended for us to read ‘walking on eggshells’ and I hope that these resources can truly help us understand the situation and how to deal with it.

Welcome Lucy!   So glad that you are here.  How old is your child?  Learning as much as you can about BPD is important right now.   I agree with the therapist to start reading about it.   On this site you can find lots of tools and a great library (scroll down past the top lists of discussion groups, you will find it there).
There is no magic wand or medication fix for BPD, it is something that has to be managed and the more you learn about it the better off your child and your whole family will be.
We are here to help!
