Title: Help
Post by: Teddybear2019 on December 01, 2019, 03:17:28 PM
Hello this is my first time using this site. My partner has BPD and I just need a place where I can talk about it when I’m feeling alone. A friend would be helpful,  but talking about her disorder to one of my friends wouldnt feel right and I know this is something personal to her. So here I am and I’m thankful if I get a reply as soon as possible. :’)

Hi
I know how you feel! You’ve come to a good place. There’s always someone here to share what you’re going through with or to chat with about similar experiences.
When I felt the way you did last I started to see a therapist - getting some of the private stuff off my chest in a confidential setting really helped me. That way I could get support and feel I was loyal to my partner.
That said I think it’s ok to talk to ones friends a little too. It’s important to let people in who care about you and can cheer you up or give you confidence and strength when you need it. You can do it in a way that focuses on you - your feelings - rather than details about your partner’s struggles.
