Title: Feeling sad Post by: Recycle on December 23, 2019, 02:07:54 PM I feel sad from lots of triggers happening at all at once lately.
I know I will feel better soon but it feels scary. Just looking for positive words and support... Thanks so much. Recycle Title: Re: Feeling sad Post by: Harri on December 23, 2019, 09:40:59 PM Hi Recycle.
Do you think reacting to these triggers is because of increased stress? What's going on? Do you want to talk specifics about what is scaring you? Excerpt Just looking for positive words and support... Well, you are right that you will feel better. You've got this right? Feeling scared is a signal of some sorts, a sign there is something to work on or grieve. That is always a positive for me, even when i feel scared, as it means I am healing and growing and I have an opportunity to work on me even if it is acceptance.Title: Re: Feeling sad Post by: Recycle on December 25, 2019, 10:34:25 AM Hi, Harri!
Thank you :love-it: I am feeling better, now, even though my waif uBPD Mom has canceled our Christmas morning get-together and sobbing in bed only 1.5 miles from me. Christmas is a trigger for me because I am isolated from my family due to their mental illnesses and physical problems. Good thing I have my own family to spend it with. It is a bit of a struggle every year to use my wise mind and keep my boundaries intact. I am doing my best to feel all of my feelings and go back to what I know I WILL do - live and appreciate my life, remember all the reasons I am happy, and keep strong on my boundaries. Happy Holidays! Title: Re: Feeling sad Post by: zachira on December 25, 2019, 03:31:59 PM I am glad you reached out to us to express your sadness about not being able to spend Christmas with your mother with BPD because she cancelled the plans to get together. It sounds like you have made a healthy life for yourself by forming your own family and have good boundaries with your mother with BPD. I have a mother, siblings, and several family members with BPD. It is normal to feel sad at times about this, while most of the time enjoying the life we deserve without getting overwhelmed by how our family members with BPD behave. You are doing what is healthy, expressing your sadness and then going ahead in enjoying Christmas with the family you have created and enjoy.

Love your name...so many ways to interpret that! Excerpt Good thing I have my own family to spend it with. It's great you have this family. I believe that family doesn't have to be because of blood. It's so healthy to see that "family" is so much more than blood relations. It sounds like you have a support network and people who care for you. That's family.Excerpt I am doing my best to feel all of my feelings and go back to what I know I WILL do - live and appreciate my life, remember all the reasons I am happy, and keep strong on my boundaries.
