Title: Treatment for cptsd
Post by: Zabava on January 21, 2020, 09:57:42 PM
Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has tried emdr, neurofeedback or body therapies like feldenkrais or reiki or rolfing?  Did they help?  How did you find a skilled practioner?

Yes! I  did EMDR and it worked for me right away. I also had Reiki done on me and that also worked right away. Two big things to note. My Therapist says EMDR only works with someone you have known for awhile. Yes,I have been diagnosed with CPTSD.

I did EMDR and it was the mos the helpful of all. Unfortunately, my practitioner decided to discontinue doing EMDR because it was so overwhelming for most  people with severe trauma. I have done all kinds of body work to help release the stored trauma in my body.
