Title: BPD wife, with young child - how to manage? Post by: Husband12345 on January 27, 2020, 06:33:50 AM Hi there,
We’ve been married for 7.5 years. My wife’s BPD symptoms have mostly arisen in the last 2 years. We now have a 14 month old baby. I am committed to working for our relationship, but my wife’s anger , stress, breakdowns and infrequent violence take place often in front of our beautiful daughter.m There are many things I want to change and improve, but at this stage my greatest concern is about ensuring my daughter is well, is cared for and grows to be a great and emotionally adjusted young woman. Any help with managing boundaries and juggling the role we play would be much appreciated. Title: Re: BPD wife, with young child - how to manage? I have three girls, now teenagers. I can relate, I still worry about how their dad and stepdad influence them. I love that you're thinking about this now. Kids absorb so much of what's around them. It would help to know a little more, if you're willing to share. Is your wife open to counseling? Is she aware of her BPD? How have you managed her outbursts so far? Things can get better. I'm glad you found us. pj |
