Title: bpd worsened with everyone home (coronavirus) Post by: bpdwife1000 on March 18, 2020, 08:36:28 AM I think i'm not the only one in this predicament
we are all home - and I have a large family of all ages. My husband is having a very hard time. (so am I) but he is having a hard time and getting critical at everyone (not even sure how much he realizes it) and then getting very depressed and sleeping a lot. anything to do? it's very hard as everyone is stuck at home. Title: Re: bpd worsened with everyone home (coronavirus) Post by: Lifeinthefastlane on March 19, 2020, 01:10:26 AM Bpdwife, thank you for sharing this. There is so much unknown and uncertainty with the virus, particularly in how long everyone will be home. I’m sure it must be causing even more stress.
Can you give us some examples so we can netter understand what you are experiencing? How have things changed? I think you’ll find quite a few people relating. Though I’m sure this is very difficult - I found that saying something to break up the rage/emotion/stress/confusion snd removing myself from the environment for even a few mins helped. Usually it was to go to the bathroom and I would take a few mins to try to look at the situation logically (my upartner had a mental health disorder). By the time I returned, half the time she realized she needed to stop. How do you think the coronavirus is affecting your husband emotionally? Meaningvwhats the emotion behind the criticism? Is it fear? Is it lack of control? |
