a lot of these things really depend on your unique relationship. who is your relationship to? whats going on, specifically? we can help. Title: Re: How to self-sooth when targeted Post by: Methuen on May 08, 2020, 12:43:34 AM I generally head for a walk in the woods. I once famously climbed a small mountain 3 times to work it out. Then I came home because I ran out of water.
Meditation, yoga, prayer, the family pet, gardening, boxing, wood cutting? My poor dad was a wood cutter. He died 15 years ago, and we still have some of his wood pile. Anything healthy that works to change the brain chemistry and thought patterns so we can cool our own emotions, and at the same time, give the pwBPD time to self-soothe. That can be a short term solution. The longer term is another matter. Can you tell us more about your situation?
