Title: I’m new, where do I start?
Post by: Gizmogremlin on May 20, 2020, 02:09:01 AM
Hello,

I have a parent with sighs of BPD, old therapist told me over a year ago that my parent has sighs of BPD. Told me to read walking on eggshells, also got the workbook and found this website. I feel alone, it’s very difficult to deal with this and try to explain to others around me what I’m dealing with. Feel as if many do not understand or I don’t want to tell for fear of judgement.

Hope to find some validation & hear others stories of how you cope with your loved ones who has BPD/Narcissism.

Thank you

Hi Gizmogremlin :hi:

I am glad you are reaching out here for support and advice. There are many members here with a BPD parent and participating on this forum can help lessen your sense of isolation :)

BPD is a challenging disorder and it can definitely be quite difficult navigating life with a BPD parent. Could you perhaps tell us a bit more about what you are dealing with? What are the BPD traits you see in your parent?
