Title: I'm new here Post by: CityRain1927 on June 09, 2020, 02:49:21 PM Hi BPDFAmily,
I just joined. I found this after discovering the Stop Walking on Eggshells workbook. I'm in my 40s, married, no kids. My husband and I live with my elderly BPD mother. I was diagnosed with BPD myself a few years ago, but have come to realize that most if not all of my issues stem from how my childhood was and the continued dynamic in my home, which for several reasons I am not able to leave right now. Now that I realize what's been happening, I'm trying to learn new, healthier responses so that I can take better care of myself and my chosen relationships as well as begin to reach my full potential career-wise. I am in therapy with a counselor, but additional support is always helpful. I'm hoping to find a welcoming community here. Welcome! :hi: I'm so glad to have you here with us. This really is a good group of understanding people who have been when you are. My mom was an uBPD, and there were times when I also wondered if I had BPD. Many of us here have had similar thoughts, so you are not alone. Usually we are reflecting so many of the things that were projected upon us. I have found that with T I am much better. What did you think about the book? It must be so much of a challenge to have your elderly mom in the same house. How are you doing with that? Wools Title: Re: I'm new here Post by: Methuen on June 13, 2020, 05:34:06 PM Hi CityRain,
