Title: I feel a sense of relief
Post by: Scooby89 on June 11, 2020, 11:49:27 AM
Hi! I am just now discovering this community. I am just now discovering through the help of an amazing counselor, that my husband may have BPD. When he mentioned the words BPD to me and told me to lightly look into the what is and to see if I thought my husband may have it, I immediately starting researching materials, and came across the Walking on EggShells book! The first few chapters I wept tears of joy because I felt for the first time in a long time that I wasn’t crazy! That this rollercoaster I have been on has a name, and that I could feel each and every word so close to my experiences as I read them on the pages of Walking on Eggshells. I am hoping this furthers my understanding!

Hi Scooby,

Welcome to the Group  :hi:

I felt that same feeling of relief when I discovered BPD in relation to my partner's ex-wife.  There is a name, I can learn more about it, I can learn new ways to approach the issues etc.  Stop Walking on EggShells is an excellent book to read and get a grounding in what BPD is.

What would you say are the issues you are struggling with most?  There is a lot of wisdom, support, ideas and tools to be found here.

I hope you will share more of your own story when you are ready, we are all about helping each other around here.

Take Care,
