Several therapists and a psychiatrist...they never mentioned it. Only now, a new therapist mentioned it to me...and then, as I read about it, it makes perfect sense. But yet, no no one can suggest a way to give a firm diagnostic...it is not necessary, they say. Could we have avoided so much trauma and pain for all?Could she have suffered less? Binge drinking after she snaps makes things terrible to the point of calling 911 a few times. She’s a high achiever, yet lost her job due to missing work several times due to the recurring episodes followed by binge drinking. She took it well when I told her what had transpired recently. She’s doing DBT and therapy. And promised not to drink anymore. Is there hope? I think so. |
