Title: introduction and fed up
Post by: ZantiPants on June 15, 2020, 02:21:02 AM
 :hi:
I'm new and have a sibling with BPD. I'm also a trained helping professional. But after 40+ years, I think I've just admitted to myself how awful it has been for me to have a brother with this. And how sorry I feel for myself growing up and living with this.
Just a first post anyway

Welcome to BPD Family! You have come to a place where there are many members who have a sibling with BPD. I have a brother with BPD and a sister with NPD. Like you, I am also a trained helping professional. In my experience, it takes a long time to get to a place to admit to ourselves how much it hurts to have a sibling that mistreats us and that our sibling is unlikely to change. We want so much to have close caring relationships with our siblings, who are the people we know throughout most of our lives and share so much common history and genes with. Can you tell us a little more about your concerns, how your brother has hurt you and affects your life both now and in the past? We care and are here to help in any ways we can.
