Title: Ready to seek help
Post by: Gates1136 on June 28, 2020, 08:29:44 AM
Hi everyone. I have lived with a BPD older sibling my whole life. I am now in my 20s. She has controlled our family with violence and doesn’t get help. I am ready to learn how to be free of the tumultuous relationship I have with her and unlearn some of the unhealthy family relationship patterns I’ve learned over the years such as constantly gaslighting myself because my family would deny anything was wrong because of fear.

Hello Gates :hi:
Welcome to the group! I am sorry to hear what you have suffered with your BPD sibling, but wish to congratulate you for being ready to work through the issues and move forward with your life to learn new and healthier coping strategies. |iiii

Hi!

I am joining with Methuen in saying hello and *welcome*

I hope you post more when you can.  We have several members with siblings who have been or are still navigating their way to a healthier way of being so you are not alone any more.

I hope you share more when you can.

In the meantime, why not read some of the material we have tacked to the top of the board.  Get comfortable and have a read.  :)
