Title: Odd behavior
Post by: 222mjf on July 07, 2020, 01:02:30 PM
So my wife and I are divorcing. She has an alcohol addiction and what I believe to be BPD.  I have experienced some odd behaviors in the past. Whenever she was angry at me, she would only make her side of the bed, cook dinner and throwing it out before everyone else ate, stonewall until I gave in or hiding my belongings.  Anyone else experience this with their BPD?

Thanks

Hi 222mjf,  :hi:

*welcome*

Welcome to BPDFamily. I’m sorry for the circumstances that led you to our site and I am glad that you decided to join us. There is hope. Many of our members here can relate to you because they share similar experiences. It helps to talk. That sounds like very passive aggressive behavior and BPD like behavior as well.

We cannot diagnose, only a professional can do that but what we can look at are traits of the disorder.

Are you living together?

Are you interested in learning r/s skills?

Are these behaviors currently going on?

Hello - you are definitely describing child like behavior which was very evident in my spouse. when you confront the behavior what is her reaction ? or have you been afraid to confront out of fear of the response?
