Title: Dominating and controlling partner
Post by: Ladybug66 on July 31, 2020, 08:52:59 AM
Hi, I've been with the same man for 12 years, we have two children together. He has narcissistic traits and we split up 3 years ago but got back together. We were apart for only a few months but I found my old self and learnt to be a bit stronger. Three years down the line I feel he is starting to walk all over me again. We can only be happy if he is happy, otherwise he ruins things for everyone. I'm concerned that the children are learning that his behaviour is acceptable. How can I not rise to his insults but stay strong? I do want this relationship to work rather than give up and leave.
