Title: how to cope
Post by: L2020 on August 20, 2020, 08:54:00 AM
My wife has BPD. Most of the time things are fine. But her mood will change very suddenly. She always blames me when things go wrong (usually things beyond my control) and can say very hurtful, personal things to me. Also things have to be done right this minute and she has no patience (is that a BPD thing?). She will shout and be nasty, and then be completely silent for days. Nothing I say or do seems to make any difference. Do I just have to wait until she comes out of it? (what I usually do, but it's lonely) It goes better when I try not to respond, but I am human and it's very hard to not respond when someone is saying you have done things you haven't done. She doesn't want me to tell anyone about her mental health. By agreement one friend/colleague who also knows her knows, but I can't talk to him much (he's too busy) Any tips? Thanks
