She is actively struggling to live. I have read some information on esketamine treatment and am looking for anyone who has experience with this treatment. Thank you.

I'm so sorry to hear of your daughter's struggles. That's a lot you are dealing with, BPD, BP, alcoholism and parents here understand, you are not alone. I'm glad you've joined us for help and support. I've not personally come across esketamine treatment, I googled to find from NICE "Esketamine is an isomer of ketamine that blocks N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptors and interrupts the association pathways of the brain, resulting in dissociative anaesthesia and analgesia and in restoration of neural pathways regulating mood and emotional behaviour." Here is an encouraging account from a member last year, who is a physician. It is the only account of the treatment I've come across in the last four years. Has ketamine been recommended by a mental health physician? My DD is in recovery, she attend DBT and drug counselling (alcohol). She too was struggling to live. There is hope. :hug: WDx |
