Title: Impact of COVID
Post by: jannynoonoo on August 25, 2020, 08:29:39 PM
:help: My 30 year old daughter has been diagnosed as Cluster B personality disorder and has been in treatment of one kind or another for 20 years.
She was finally making some good progress in a program where she worked part time and had a team of providers.
Then COVID hit and she came home mid March to live with me.
She has regressed terribly and has become extremely volatile and violent on two occasions.
I am unable to even discuss her leaving without her becoming unhinged. And I fear for my safety.
Is it time to take legal steps? Has anyone gone through an eviction?

Welcome and I am sorry for the circumstances that brought you here.
Please click onto my name for my backstory / previous posts.  I also had to have my adult son removed from my home due to violence and property destruction.  It is not easy, but when life is threatened , one doesn't have a choice.  First off, do you have a safe spot in the home?  A safe place to go to?  The reason I ask is depending on the circumstances and state , it can take 30 days for an eviction to take place and you need to be safe during that time.  I did get to the point where I told my son he had to get help or I had to start eviction.  It didn't compute at first with him.  Now in my case, the son went to the other extreme, but who knows, this may be enough to start your daughter thinking.

here is some reading for you to keep in mind as you go through this journey.  Know that you are not alone.
