Title: I think my wife has BPD - help
Post by: EricS on October 15, 2020, 10:32:27 AM
This is my first post.

I have been married for 6 years and it has been a confusing, chaotic and intense relationship.

I just finished reading Stop walking on eggshells and I feel I could have written about 70% of the first half of the book in relation to my experiences with my suspected BPD wife. I actually had a sense of peace finally in reading it since I now see that all the problems are not my fault.

I’m in a stage of really hurting. I have moved out because my wife is having an affair with another woman and says it’s all my fault.  Basically at first in our relationship I could only walk on water.  I am not perfect.  So when I have made mistakes and admitted them, now I am the enemy and my wife has found people to be with that praise and idolize her.

We are meeting with counselors and seem to be heading for divorce which I really don’t want. I still love her and care for her.

It’s obviously a long story like all relationships but for now I’ll leave it at that.
