Title: Turning around
Post by: ahe on October 18, 2020, 09:31:31 PM
A few months back, I was in a really rough spot. My girlfriend has BPD and we were struggling. I reached out to this forum and I got so much help from 3 really wonderful people:  @Ozzie101,  @Harri and  @Once Removed. And I wanted to thank you 3 for your insight. Since posting my last message, I've learned more and have gained more strength. I can't say it's perfect but it's way better!

One of the most important lessons I've learned is that you have to learn not to take things personally. That's helped me with my girlfriend when she gets upset. Another thing that's been helping is the book "I Hate You - Don't Leave Me". It's got a ton of information. My girlfriend and I have been researching and discussing BPD. I'm happy she's willing to talk about it.

Again, thank you to everyone and to this site. I'm glad places like this exist
