Title: My girlfriend decided to discard me
Post by: veganman on November 16, 2020, 02:17:33 PM
Greetings.   I was wooed by a beautiful female for three months.   In just two weeks into our relationship, after hundreds of texts each week, she began to accuse me of being a closet Opioid addict.   I had pain relievers for my past surgery.   After that issue was straightened out, all went well until the election of 2020.   She had told me to not talk about politics with her or we must go our separate ways.  Not one to give in to ultimatums, I left her alone for a few days.   She then sent me a text telling that she was going to pay for a five day vacation in Sedona, Az. for Christmas.   I was so excited!   Then, she texted me 12 hours later to tell me that she could not be intimate with me any further and to not hate her.   I suspected that she had already picked up on another man. Needless to say that I was shocked and devastated.   I tried to call her and she blocked my messages, effectively "ghosting" me.   I have not contacted her in three weeks. I still love her but I am not willing to contact her again.   Any words of wisdom?   Thanks.

hi veganman, and *welcome*

this is a lot of strong disagreement in a relatively short period of time.

generally, the approach to reversing a breakup is to assess what broke the relationship down, and what is necessary to change in order to revive it.

how would your approach differ if you got back together?

Well, hindsight is 20/20.   I would ease off on my requests for her to act a little bit more rational and realistic.  As an attorney, she knows these boundaries all too well.   I would be a little less surprised at her knee jerk reactions to the most unnecessary concerns in life, like who walks into the door first or who gets to go through a stop sign first.   :wee:
