Title: Stepdaughter feels not accepted Post by: Stepgrandma on November 27, 2020, 10:31:48 PM Because of Covid my daughter limited thanksgiving gathering to 6. Tho she told my bpd stepdaughter this well ahead of time the day before she texted me (her stepmom) and felt not accepted by my side of family...again. And said she will just give up trying. Then she decided not to let her kids come visit us that evening.
I tried to assure her but I feel she has a hole in her heart I can never fill. Any ideas how to follow up to this? You might want to try basic validation like SET (Support, Empathy, Truth).
