Title: Friend Silent Treatment Post by: vfly on February 02, 2021, 11:02:32 AM Hi All,
This is my first time on this board and I was looking for a little guidance. My best friend/roommate with BPD has been giving me the silent treatment and refusing to talk about the situation. It makes things very uncomfortable for me because we live together, and they often talk to my other roommates about our personal issues rather than talking to me. I’m scared to bring my feelings up because they are volatile and have blown up on me many times before. The situation that caused this all to happen was that I changed plans and decided not to attend the plans they had created. I have been courteous and respectful to them and told them whenever they’re ready to talk i’m here. But they don’t seem receptive at all to it. I’m very confused and scared that they will turn my roommates against me, or blow up on me. I’m not sure how else to handle this situation, it makes me very anxious and uncomfortable but I am trying my best not to show it because I suspect they want a reaction out of me. Any advice on how to get past the silent treatment? Anything helps, Thank you Title: Re: Friend Silent Treatment Post by: Cat Familiar on February 03, 2021, 11:57:34 AM This article might be helpful: https://bpdfamily.com/message_board/index.php?topic=70004.0
